Our also strengthens strategic partnerships with initiatives of high scientific and social significance, such as the University of Antioquia’s Hemocenter (Hemocentro), the Essential Medicines Production Plant , the Frontino Sugarcane Biorefinery, and the National Center for Genomic Sequencing, contributing to the strengthening of capacities for applied research, public health, and the country’s health and food sovereignty.

Knowledge Asset Commercialization

At the University of Antioquia Foundation we strengthen knowledge assets commercialization and support scientific, technological, and business initiatives that transform research into solutions with social, scientific, and productive impact. Through strategic partnerships, it promotes projects that connect university knowledge with the needs of the region and the country.

Some of these initiatives are:

  • University of Antioquia Hemocenter: A partnershipto strengthen the former Blood Bank with a scientific, social and business-oriented approach, aimed at expanding capacities and contributing to the protection of life and public health.
  • University of Antioquia Frontino Sugarcane Biorefinery (UdeA):Applied research project focused on validating biofuels and co-products derived from sugarcane, promoting innovation and sustainability for the agro-industrial sector.
  • University of Antioquia Essential Medicines Production Plant: A strategic partnership aimed at strengthening capacities for the production of essential medicines and contributing to the country’s health sovereignty.
